David Gill Gallery presents a dynamic selection of works made between 2014 and 2019, with the honourable exception of Garouste & Bonetti’s Console/Table Samson & Delilah, 1999. Reflecting Gill’s 30-year trajectory as an innovative gallerist who has pioneered the blurring boundaries between the decorative and fine arts, these pieces come from the worlds of art, design and architecture. The booth sets up conversations between works by Sebastian Brajkovic, Daniel Libeskind, Mattia Bonetti, Jorge Pardo, Fredrikson Stallard, Michele Oka Doner, Barnaby Barford and newcomers to the gallery, Milan-based AMeBE, whose Cupola chandelier, 2016, forms a dramatic centerpiece. A hyper-real recreation of the dome of St Peter’s Basilica, in Rome, the Cupola combines highly sophisticated production techniques with traditional Italian craftsmanship.
